Acrylic on hand-stretched canvas

A portrait painting of my grandfather (Nonno Mariano) at 21 years old. I referenced a black-and-white photo of him from when he was around my age. For the background, I painted a pattern reminiscent of old Italy, where he’s from.

The reference image of Nonno that I used. The angle of the photo is skewed which made it a challenge.

Acrylic on canvas paper

A painting of strawberries against a bold striped background, designed for a commercial setting. In this piece, I explored reflective light, shadows, and patterns.

Gouache on paper

An up-close painting of cherries against a vibrant green background. I explored the use of highlights and the impact of contrasting colors.

Gouache on paper

Blueberries against a striking pattern. I explored the use of triadic colors to bring the painting to life.
